Trika is a free browser-based math puzzle game. We do not require accounts, we do not sell data, and we collect as little information as possible.
Display names. When you submit a score to a leaderboard, you choose a display name. That name and your score are stored so the leaderboard can be shown to other players. You choose what this name is — it does not need to be your real name, and we recommend it isn't.
Game data on your device. Your recent runs, personal bests, chosen display name, and rules preferences are stored locally in your browser using localStorage. This stays on your device. Clearing your browser data removes it.
Analytics. We use Plausible Analytics to understand how many people visit and which modes they play. Plausible is privacy-focused: it uses no cookies, does not track you across websites, and does not collect personal information. We see aggregate numbers like page views and country, not individuals.
We do not collect email addresses, names, phone numbers, or payment information. We do not require an account. We do not use advertising trackers. We do not sell or share data with third parties for marketing.
Trika is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. Since we collect no personal information and require no account, no such data is gathered. If you believe a display name identifying a child has been submitted, contact us and we will remove it.
Trika uses JSONBin to store leaderboard data and Vercel for hosting. Each has its own privacy practices. Links on our site to Discord, Reddit, and Playlin take you to third-party sites governed by their own policies.
To remove your local game data, clear your browser's site data for playtrika.com. To remove a leaderboard entry, email us with the display name and mode and we'll delete it.
We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected in the date above.
